  • RJ45 (PoE IN) – Connect to standard PoE switch (802.3af/at) for power + data.

  • RJ45 (PoE OUT) – Daisy‑chain to next gateway's PoE IN (cascade up to 8 units).

  • DC jack – 12‑30V DC input (alternative to PoE).

  • Reset button (recessed) – Long press 3 seconds to restore factory defaults.

Installation guide

GC305 installation steps: bracket mounting, gateway locking, cable connections
  1. Ensure the fixing surface can support ≥2 kg.

  2. Use KA4 screws to securely mount the bracket to the ceiling (arrow direction as shown).

  3. Align the gateway with the bracket, then push and turn to lock into place.

  4. Connect the upstream Ethernet cable to the gateway's PoE IN port.

  5. If cascading, connect another Ethernet cable from PoE OUT to the next gateway's PoE IN. Maximum cascade: 8 units.

⚠️ Mounting height ≤10m from tags. Tilt angle recommended <45° (theoretical limit 6° for optimal AoA performance).

What the GC305 is NOT (honest limitations)

  • Not a standalone tag – This is a gateway. You need BLE AoA tags (sold separately) to track assets or people.

  • Accuracy depends on line‑of‑sight – Metal shelves, concrete pillars, and dense crowds reduce AoA precision. In obstructed environments, error may exceed 1m.

  • Mounting angle matters – The theoretical optimal angle for AoA is 6° from horizontal. Tilting beyond 45° will significantly degrade accuracy.

  • Not for explosive atmospheres – No ATEX/IECEx certification. Indoor and semi‑outdoor only.

  • PoE OUT limited to 8 units – Each gateway draws power for itself and passes through limited current.

  • No built‑in GPS – Time sync uses NTP over Ethernet. No GNSS receiver.
